A Southwest Airways flight was struck by gunfire Friday night time whereas on the tarmac at Dallas Love Subject Airport, a Southwest spokesperson confirmed to Enterprise Insider.
“Southwest Airways Flight 2494 taxied safely again to the terminal at Dallas Love Subject after a bullet apparently struck the proper aspect of the plane just below the flight deck whereas the Crew was making ready for departure for Indianapolis,” the spokesperson stated.
No accidents have been reported and the airplane was faraway from service, they stated, including that passengers could be accommodated on one other flight.
In a press release posted on X, Dallas Love Subject Airport stated Dallas police had responded to what it referred to as a “safety incident.”
One runway was briefly closed however has since reopened, the airport stated, including that there was “minimal influence on airport operations.”
It directed additional inquiries to the Dallas police.
